James' grandfather Henry English was born and worked at Camden Park, his father James was born at Narellan.

Pilot Officer James Herbert John ENGLISH died on 2 December 1943 in a Flying Battle over Germany age 22.
James was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for skill and courage in operation against the enemy. The Cross was presented to his father by the Governor General of Australia at Admiralty House Sydney on 23rd July 1945.
